LAHB - coupler mod

i discovered a new coupler mod for the LAHB,let's get started.

First get your LAHB and disassemble it.

Remove the trigger,we will focus on the barrel.

Using pipecutters,cut the barrel as close to the stub as you can.

Now grab a pvc coupler or connector that is the right size for the pvc of your choise,for me it's a 13mm pvc connector,sand it out on one side if it doesn't fit.use a hammer to hammer on the pvc connector for a really snug and air tight fit.throw on some epoxy or JB weld for a permanent bond.

when you're done,it should look like this.

Now yu can use a sanding bit to widen the hole that holds the barrel OR you could use sharp scissors to cut a v shape on the two walls till a pvc coupler/connector lies flat on itdo it on the other half too.

which is something like this,if you have glued on your pvc coupler/connector,just lay the setup and check if it lies flat.

when you're done cutting,you should get something like this.

make sure your internals will look like this,unless it's the older big blast.

now close everything up,throw on a barrel and enjoy!

Contract #4 : Duo Alpha troopers

got a contract for 2 alpha troopers,this time,more challenging.

it has a different AR design and can only be remove by hitting or drilling.

modifications include -
AR removal
Locks removal
Breech hole sealage
Spring compression
New lubricant
Teflon tape under o-ring
Plunger padding

Contract #3 : Deploy

hey guys,back with another contract,this time it's a deploy,pretty complicated,but what the hell,it's completed!

here's it in deployed mode.

modifications include-
AR removal
Locks removal
Jam door removal
Spring compression mod
Buttstock spring removed
Plunger padding

Not much modifications are done to it as this is a pretty complicated gun to deal with.anyways here's a quick firing test of it.

Nerf 2011 - sonic series

As you all may already know,nerf created a secong series for the 5 common nerf blasters,the sonic series.it's basically green translucent shell,nothing special,here are some examples of them.

first up,maverick.

and lastly the vulcan.

Do note that it's released in the US as jerm already collected all 5 of 'em.and it's says it's sold in ToysRus only.

Nerf 2011 - Dart Tag - Quick '16'

In the previous 'swarmfire' post,i mentioned that there's another blaster that's yet to be released,and yes,here it is,i give you thee Quick '16'

As you can see,it looks like a raider with a 'ghost rider' theme (sort of) with a banana clip that most rifles have,and i guess it will work like the original raider but with different internals. pretty cool man!!!hardcore!!!

Nerf 2011 - N-strike - Camo Ammo

here's another new product from nerf that is released to the US and most of the countries except s'pore  >:|

                                 Set comes with 50 camo darts,camo bag with a divider found in it.Another thing is that there's two different kinds of camo design for you to choose,winter camo and woodland camo,normally i would prefer the winter camo though.i feel that the darts are as dense as the buzzbee ones.
                                          (bag's ideal for storing stefans to use in a war) :)

there's two straps at the back for you to attach it to your belt or the nerf bandolier.

Longstrike mod - whistler/suction/tagger dart compatibility

Always wanted to use suction or whisler darts in your longstrike? here you go.

First dismantle your longstrike and remove the plunger tube assembly,knock oyut the pin holding the bolt sled and remove the plunger till you have only the plunger tube.

This time we will focus on the head of the plunger tube,you'll find two fins and a long piece sticking out.remove the two pieces by sawing them off,that's my method,you could use a dremel for this job,just remember to sand it down after cutting,also,you have to sand a little of the long piece.

This is what you should get when you're done,now assemble everything and enjoy!

Nerf Longstrike cs-6 mod

this guide is a mod tutorial for the longstrike,very basic mods and some though ones.

First remove the bolt handle from the longstrike,then dismantle the gun.

This should be your internals,or not you must have messed around with it.

Now remove the stock from the gun.

As you can see in the above picture,you carve your longstrike's stock's catching tooth from it's right angle triangle shape to a isosceles triangle,got a little maths here.

When you're done with that,remove the two screws that holds the piece that holds the spring in place ,then remove the whole bolt sled assembly and set it aside for now.

Remove the jam door and for me,i feel that it's useless so keep it or throw it.

These pieces are locks,remove the  narrow piece of plastic and the grey piece with 2 screws holding it in place,then pry it out when the 2 screws are out.and to the right you see a blank space,that's where the trigger lock sits anfd you want that gone too.(sorry no pic of it :p)

The locks should include these two pieces and the grey piece.

Now get your bolt sled assembly and remove the spring first,then remove the plunger.

                                      

We will focus on the plunger tube first,look at the end of the plunger tube (with the o-ring) and remove the o-ring and add a little teflon tape underneath the o-ring,then grease it up and remove the ar anyway you want,drilling or hitting.

Now cut two foam circles the diameter of the plunger out of a foam sheet.Glue them together.

Add some gluie on the face of the foam sheet and glue it to the bottom of the plunger.

Get your bolt sled and you'll find this spring piece at the end of the bolt sled,remove the two screws under that piece and remove the plastic piece and the spring,then screw it back on.

Now close everything up and enjoy!

Nerf 2011 - Dart Tag - Swarmfire

hey fellas,dart tag is coming back on their feet,with 2 new upcoming blasters,well most of us only heard of one,the Swarmfire.

And there's it with the stock detached,by the way,the stock may resemble the longstrike's,but it's removable :)

And the other blaster may be discovered soon,you can view it at urban taggers,they found it first.Stay tuned for more 2011 nerfy goodness :D

Dartsmithing: Slug dart prototype

This is a prototype of the slug dart which is basically a felt disc + washer stefan.those kind of darts tend to injure others in a war due to the exposed washer.this prototype could be used in a war too.Let's get started!

MATERIALS:
-Foam Backer rod (closed cell)
-penknife
-BBs
-Superglue
-pencil with domed top
-Foam sheet
-17/30 brass
-piece of pvc
-scissors

First,cut blanks of  length 1.4 inches long.Try not to fray the ends when you cut it.

Now cut a cross with a penknife.

After you done that,get a pencil with a domed head like the above picture,and push it into the end of the foam blank with the cross cut then twist and turn it to house your bb.

After you've done that,you should get something like this.just that this is a diagram of the foam blank cutted in half.

Now plant your BB in the hole you've created to see if it fits.take it out and add three drops of superglue into the hole,then plant the BB back in.set that in the piece of pvc to let it dry.

while the glue's drying,get your brass(a small piece will do)and press it against the foam sheet to create a circular dent,cut it out by tracing the circle with your scissors.Lastly add superglue on the rim of the foam blank and press the circular piece of foam on it then let it dry further by leaving it back in the piece of pvc for roughly 5min.

When it's dry,this should be what you'll get.Pretty neat eh?

Harpoon Blaster/Big Blast barrel mod

I always wondered why the ranges of the LAHB are so low and crappy.my first conclusion is because of the round green thingy on top of the barrel that is technically an AR.but the real reson is that the air comes out from the side of the barreland that explains the terrible ranges.

What you should do about it is to unscrew all the screws and use a dremel to cut the front piece that holds the two halves together.if you don't have a dremel,use a sawblade and sandwich it inbetween the two halves and saw it vertically across.

This should be what your barrel will look like before the mod.


Now use pipe cutters and cut off the barrel after the two holes.I did mine and didn't took pictures through the process.sorry if it's hard to understand :(

When you are done,you should have these items.

Close everything up and you'll find a huge surprise when you  fire it,one pump is a hell lot better than it's stock form. :)
